Fence Study Booths provide an effective way to create individual, semi-private workspaces without building permanent partitions. Fully upholstered screens surround a generous work surface, helping to reduce visual distractions and give the user a greater sense of privacy within busy open-plan spaces.
Ideal for offices, universities, colleges, libraries, learning spaces and breakout areas, Fence can be used as a single private workstation or combined into a run of individual study and touchdown spaces.
One of the strengths of Fence is its simplicity. There are four models, based around two different desk heights and a choice between a standalone starter booth and an extension booth. This makes it easy to create anything from one individual workstation to a much larger bank of study spaces.

The Fence Study range is available in four configurations:
Fence FN-72 | Standard Height Work Booth
The FN-72 is the standalone Fence Study booth with a 720mm-high desktop, providing a conventional seated working position. The booth measures 1220mm wide x 810mm deep x 1440mm high, with a useful 1100 x 600mm work surface.
This is the natural choice for longer periods of focused desk work and works particularly well with a standard office, task or meeting chair.

Fence FN-72/EB | Standard Height Extension Booth
The FN-72/EB uses the same 720mm desk height, but is designed as an extension booth. It allows additional workstations to be connected to the initial booth to form an efficient run of individual workspaces. The extension is 1160mm wide x 810mm deep x 1440mm high and retains the same 1100 x 600mm worktop dimensions.
This makes Fence particularly adaptable. Instead of treating every workstation as a completely separate piece of furniture, extension units allow a larger study or focused-work area to be planned systematically.

Fence FN-102 | High-Level Work Booth
For a more informal and agile style of working, the FN-102 raises the desktop to 1020mm while retaining the privacy offered by the upholstered Fence surround.
The higher work surface is designed to partner naturally with a high stool rather than a conventional task chair. It creates a more informal setting suited to shorter periods of concentrated work, laptop use or touchdown working.

Fence FN-102/EB | High-Level Extension Booth
The FN-102/EB is the extension version of the 1020mm-high booth. It enables multiple high-level workstations to be linked together, creating a continuous run of individual touchdown or study spaces.
It is particularly suited to organisations that want to create a less formal alternative to rows of conventional desks while still giving each person clearly defined personal workspace.

720mm Standard Desk Height
Choose the 720mm version when the booth will primarily be used for conventional seated work.
Paired with an office or task chair, it is particularly appropriate where people may remain at their workstation for longer periods. This makes it the obvious option for focused office work, studying, reading and computer-based activities.
1020mm High Desk
Choose the 1020mm version for a more informal, agile workstation.
Paired with a high stool, the raised surface is well suited to touchdown working and shorter work sessions, particularly in contemporary offices, educational environments and breakout spaces. Both the FN-102 and matching FN-102/EB extension are available at this height.
A major advantage of Fence Study is the ability to start small and build a larger installation.
A standalone unit creates a complete individual work booth. Where several workspaces are required, the extension units can be used to create a run of booths, making the system suitable for much larger installations.

Each Fence Study unit uses 60mm-thick upholstered panels surrounding the work surface, with an overall height of 1440mm. The desk itself provides a 1100mm-wide x 600mm-deep working area.
Rather than completely isolating the user, Fence creates a more clearly defined personal zone within the surrounding environment. That makes it particularly useful wherever concentrated individual work needs to coexist with open-plan activity.
Fence Study can be adapted aesthetically to suit the surrounding interior scheme. MFC worktops are available in White, Black, Light Oak and Walnut, together with a choice of upholstery, including the option of two-tone upholstery.
A range of power and data modules is also available, allowing Fence to support laptops, mobile devices and technology-led working.
This combination of upholstery, worktop finishes and technology options allows the same basic system to work equally well in a corporate workplace, university library or contemporary learning environment.
